National Journal of Laboratory Medicine
is aimed at the scientific
community on the Web. The site is dedicated to an educational
cause and intended to help the medical community. The site
does not in any way aim to address the needs of individual
patients. It has been conceptualised to support the delicate
relationship that exists between patients and medical practitioners
rather than threaten the same.
The complete content of the journal is protected
both under Indian and international copyrights. Users, however,
are allowed free, unchanged, worldwide, permanent right of
access and license to copy, use, share, quote, announce, and
display the work publicly and to create and distribute related
work in any digital medium for noncommercial purposes, subject
to correct attribution and recognition of authorship and ownership
of rights. No one is allowed to make printed copies of the
journal for commercial purposes.
The publisher and all persons involved in creating, producing,
and delivering the journal do not assume any liability or
responsibility for the precision, completeness, or utility
of any piece of information provided in the journal. These
parties are not liable for any form or nature of direct, indirect,
situational, significant, resultant or punitive damages arising
after using the journal.
The material published in the journal is
subjected to a peer review to ensure equality, justice, objectivity,
independence, and relevance as far as educational needs are
concerned. The editors have based their services on reliable
sources of information and adhere to certain defined norms
and standards. In the event of an error committed either by
the authors, editors, or publisher, neither the journal, nor
its publisher or any other party involved in the creation,
collation, and consolidation of the journal claims that the
information contained is in every respect precise and complete,
and as such, are not responsible for errors or omissions or
for the results obtained from the use of such material. Readers

You enter into an agreement to consider harmless
and indemnify the journal, its publishers, the editors and
their agents, and the contributors to the journal, against
any liability for claims and expenses, including the fees
of attorneys, relating to any violation of the terms of this
Agreement or arising out of any written work submitted by
you.
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws
of India and shall be applicable to agreements wholly made
and performed in India without regard to its conflict of laws
principle. Before seeking legal recourse for any harm you
believe has been caused by your access to the journal, you
will send a written notice to the journal, specifying the
offence and allowing a period of 100 days to rectify the error
after providing such notice. If you believe you have been
irreparably harmed by any cause of action relating to the
journal, you agree to inform the journal in writing and grant
the journal a period of 100 days to cure the harm before initiating
any action. Any legal action, suit or proceeding arising out
of or relating to this Agreement or a breach thereof, shall
be instituted in a court of competent jurisdiction in Delhi
city, and you hereby consent and submit to the personal jurisdiction
of such a court, waive any objection to the venue in such
a court and consent to service of process at your last known
address. Any cause of action initiated by you must be initiated
within one year after the claim or cause of action has arisen.
Otherwise, it will be treated as null and void.
You agree that this agreement and the terms
and conditions hereof, including all disclaimers set forth
herein, shall inure to the benefit of the editors and their
agents, and the contributors to the journal, as third party
beneficiaries hereto, to the same extent that this agreement
inures to the benefit of the journal.
The journal reserves the right, at its sole
discretion, to change the terms and conditions of this agreement
from time to time. Your accessing the journal will be deemed
to be your acceptance of and agreement to any changed terms
and conditions.
The journal may contain links to Web sites
operated by other parties. These links are provided purely
for reference purposes. Such links do not imply the journal’s
endorsement of the material on any other site and the journal
disclaims all liability with regard to your access of such
Web sites.
